Developing a sustainable business has been a goal that all three founding partners connnected with when they started PSW Pallets. As a result, the Company measures it's progress and success using the triple bottom line approach, which advocates that People, Planet, and Profitability are key metrics used in evaluating a sustainable business. This drives the business and it's management team to look beyond profits, and consider equally the interests of the people and planet impacted by it.
Examples of current and planned steps that PSW Pallets is taking in achiving it's sustainability goals under the triple bottom line approach include sustainable wood purchasing practices that encourages suppliers to engage in reforestation and fair trade, investing in the latest manufacturing technologies with extensive safety procedures and training, and industry leading employee satisfaction programs. In addition to the examples of ongoing business drivers that support the triple bottom line metrics, PSW is exploring partnerships with not-for-profit entities in the future that further support the Company's sustainabiblitty goals.
PSW Pallets continues to explore additional ways in which the Company can enhance it's positive impact on the people and planet as a result of regular business operations, and discloses it's CSR impacts (Corporate social responsibility) as component of management reporting to the founders; in a drive to play a part in global sustainability efforts.
